Whitsunday Family Dental is located in an incredible part of Australia – the Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef, Queensland.
For almost forty years, we have enjoyed a trusting relationship with the people of our community and have long-standing professional friendships with our patients – often across many generations.
Dr Brian, Dr Alice and Dr Ben also enjoy welcoming new patients from all over Australia and across the world!
In our dental clinic, you’ll find all the services you need to achieve and maintain a healthy and beautiful smile. You’ll be amazed by the technologies offered in our regional and independent dental practice and appreciate what makes us different: our focus on holistic patient care and a genuine concern for your health. We invite you to learn more about our friendly dental team and make Whitsunday Family Dental your new dental home.

Dr Alice Harriott
Dentist
Dr Alice Harriott is a partner at Whitsunday Family dental, and she has been at the practice for more than a decade. She earned her BDSc with honours from the University of Queensland, and she also received a FICOI (Fellowship International College of Oral Implantologists), and a BSc (Med Rad Tech) Radiography.
The best part of being a dentist for Dr Alice is seeing her patients proud of what they are achieving for themselves and their health - better brushing or even flossing! Or making the decision to fix their teeth after years of putting it off. She realises that helping someone change their smile can actually change their life, which is a great honour.
When Dr Alice is not in the dental clinic, her life is filled with a household of girls – there’s not a lot of quiet! She's a keen cook - preserving and making cumquat jam! She also loves being by the beach, in her garden or with her family.

Dr Brian Poschelk
Dentist
Dr Brian Poschelk is a partner at Whitsunday Family Dental and has been a dentist for almost forty years. He earned his BDSc from the University of Queensland and also received a FICCOI in orthodontics.
As far as being a dentist, he enjoys the simplicity of helping patients achieve good health—healthy pink gums! To see a happy patient adopt and accept our advice is very rewarding for Dr Brian. He also appreciates meeting new patients all the time and loves that he has been a dentist here for so many years.
Dr Brian particularly loves catching up with some of the loyal patients who have been in the practice for many years. It's not just a dental appointment to him; it's time to have a yarn!
When he gets the chance, he likes to spend time on his small cattle property. He also enjoys fishing, even though he is not very good at it. (Does hooking them count?) Dr Brian is still working on ‘extracting’ good fishing spots from his patients. He is also a John Wayne and western movie buff and loves relaxing to Leonard Cohen music!
